I would like to take this opportunity to introduce all of you to a project that I've been working on. It is a social network for people interested in promoting their own web sites. Getting a popular high PageRank site in your subject area to link to you can be difficult. There are probably plenty of them out there, but why would they link to you? Today we’re going to cover a very easy yet potentially powerful way to build strong links with little work. Actually the beauty of this tip is any time you don’t have something to write about, you can use it. It is guaranteed to give you something to say with out wracking your brain. You might even get a nice strong backlink for your web site. Since backlinks are critical for people finding your site naturally as well as in search engines it’s a double win.

Well 2008 is upon us and we are looking at a different world from what we saw in the beginning of 2007. Google made changes to it's visible rankings of pages who it considered to be selling advertising. Google says that selling links for SEO purposes is bad, and wants advertisers to tag links with a "nofollow" tag. This lowers the links value in the eyes of all search engines.
